John Vaillancourt is a thirteen-time International Songwriting Competition Semi-Finalist - "the songwriting competition to take note of" - New York Times. He's a composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist whose work spans the full breadth of contemporary jazz. He performs on sopranino, soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone saxophones; piccolo, flute, alto and bass flutes; Eb, Bb, and bass clarinets, and EWI. He has led and performed with award-winning jazz ensembles at festivals and clubs throughout the Northeast, and appears on dozens of recordings. His focus is writing and arranging music for contemporary jazz big bands, playing freelance gigs, and producing remote tracking sessions in his project studio.
