I'm excited about music technology based on artificial intelligence (AI) machine learning. Here's a bluegrass song that uses AI-based computer generated vocalists that sing melodies based on the Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) format with text for lyrics. These vocal instruments are from Dreamtonics and Eclipsed Sounds. The tracks were processed using AI tools for mixing and mastering (Izotope Nectar 3, Neoverb, Neutron 4, and Ozone 10). The entire production uses only computer-based instruments including fiddle, dobro, mandolin, banjo, guitar, and acoustic bass. The mandolin and dobro solos and vocal MIDI were entered into the computer by playing them on the Yamaha WX-5 electronic wind instrument (EWI).
